Malawi's ex leader and first female President Joyce Banda is out of the list of 2015 Most Powerful Women in the World, a list she got recognition in during the time she was in power.
The list which is compiled by World's leading magazine, Forbes did not name her in the 2015 list.
JB, as fondly known failed to make it back to the state house in polls in May last year, was in the list which hit headlines in Malawi and also got the nominated as the most powerful in Africa.
She had in 2012 hit headlines globally having ascended to the post of presidency after President Bingu wa Mutharika died due to a heart attack.
Banda had reportedly fell out of favor with Mutharika whose Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) accused her of forming what they called 'parallel structures' in the party.
She later formed her own Peoples Party (PP) and led Malawi through to 2014 until she lost.
She has been out of Malawi since then and has been incessantly implicated in the infamous Cashgate scandal, something which she keep saying is a form of witch hunting against her.
At the moment, Banda is said to arrive anytime soon, at a time when top officials in the party have been bowing out of the party recently.
Assertions are being made that he being silent on the local scene has railed down to the drain for her not to make it in the list again.
The list also has no African women in the top 10.
Banda's missing on the list has been attributed to her relinquishing of power.
The list has kept on holding to Germany Chancellor Angel Merkel as the most powerful woman in the world while US Democrat presidential hopeful and former secretary of State Hillary Clinton is second.
The list that Forbes compiles is a definitive annual audit of the foremost heads of state, iconic entrepreneurs and CEOs, celebrity role models, billionaire activists, and pioneer philanthropists, all ranked by money, media momentum, spheres of influence and impact.
