Kampala — Saturday Monitor's Full Woman magazine will hold its third health camp on September 10 at Serena Hotel in Kampala. Themed 'Know your body', the camp is expected to bring together over 5,000 people, including readers,
professionals and companies in continuation of Daily Monitor's efforts to be relevant to its readers.
Ms Flora Aduk, the weekend feature's editor, said: "We believe health is part of us and readers are hungry for practical information that they can apply to their lives. We have been receiving overwhelming feedback in this regard.
The group of experts will discuss different topics such as health, eye care, fitness, spirituality, hair science, beauty (skin care), women's body and how to take care of it, the common female cancers, lifestyle diseases, good living and share real life experiences.
The camp will start at 9am at Victoria Hall in Serena Hotel and end at 5pm. The chief guest will be Pastor Jessica Kayanja. "The camp will also incorporate fashion with a presentation from one of our top designers," Ms Aduk said.
Ms Grace Nyamahunge, the Monitor Publications Limited corporate social responsibility manager, said: "There is a wealth of exhibitors ranging from health service providers, bankers, insurance companies, accountancy firms, beauty service providers, nutritionists among others. Participants should expect a lot and come prepared to exhaust the benefits of this platform." The camp is open to both women and men.
