The Angolan Women Promotion and Family minister, Genoveva Lino, Friday, here, suggested that domestic violence be regarded as public crime, so that any citizen can denounce it.
Speaking at a workshop about the importance for the approval of the draft law on domestic violence, the minister Genoveva Lino considered family as basis and the first social institution, through these societies are formed and nations are built.
According to the government official, through the law, any people will be allowed to complain with more confidence next to the authorities, either member of the same family or not.
The law does not defend only violence cases between husband and wife, but also all members of the family, being adult or child.
