Interviews closed on Tuesday for the National Gender and Equality Commission chairperson and member.
Six applicants had been short-listed for the post of chair and six for commissioner.
Twelve people were interviewed by eight panellists chaired by Salome Kimata from the National Council for Persons with Disabilities.
Those who faced the interviewing panel on Monday were University of Nairobi Professor Maria Nzomo, lawyer Jane Dwasi, Mandera West district agricultural officer Mohamed Adhan, human rights lawyer and Kenya National Commission on Human Rights commissioner Winfred Lichuma, among others.
Mr Adhan, who had applied for position of member of the commission and erroneously called for the chairperson interview on Tuesday was interviewed for both positions.
Ms Rhoda Lewa, Mr Mathew Kimanzi and Dr Rose Odhiambo were some of the candidates interviewed on Tuesday.
Other panellists were from the Office of the President, Office of the Prime Minister, the Public Service Commission, the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, and the Association of Professional Societies of East Africa, among others.
