THE Embu women's representative has decried high illiteracy levels in the county. Rose Mitaru said she doubts the government will achieve Vision 2030 considering the levels of illiteracy in some counties.
She was speaking at Betty Educational and Training Institute in Mbeere South district yesterday when she presided over its second graduation ceremony. Sixteen teachers were awarded diploma and one got a certificate in the Early Childhood Development Education. She said in the North Eastern, more than 76 per cent of the population is illiterate.
