"There are an alarming numbers of girls dropping out of schools because of early pregnancies which lead to early marriages. This trend is worrying that is why we will very soon come up with a jungle law to see that this is dealt with," he said.
Kombe said that lack of cooperation from parents to let girls be in school was a drawback.
"Positive attitude is needed because when you look around, a big percentage of girls with pregnancies were not raped. Therefore, the solution must start from them. They must live an upright life," he said.
Recently Magarini DEO Stephen Abere revealed that 350 girls dropped out of school in the district last year. Abere said the number could be more since these are just the documented cases while majority remain unreported. He blamed the trend on traditions, poverty and immorality.
