The monthly MESTtalk hosted by the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) in Accra, Ghana will this month discuss the landscape of female techpreneurship in Africa in honour of Women's History Month.
The event, which takes place tomorrow from 9am at MEST, focus on what the local tech community does well when it comes to encouraging the participation of women and what it can do better.
Speakers are Regina Agyare, chief executive officer (CEO) of social enterprise Soronko Solutions, Vestracker co-founder Linda Ansong, and founder of Women in Tech Ghana Ethel Cofie.
"In light of International Women's Day and it being Women's History Month, we wanted to form this month's MESTtalk around females working in a very non-female industry – tech. This is true the world over, in Silicon Valley and Accra alike," Daisy Chang, events coordinator at MEST, told Disrupt Africa.
"Regina, Linda, and Ethel are each highly accomplished and driven entrepreneurs. I'm hoping that the MESTtalk will first, continue to highlight their great work and second, inspire other females to be similarly fearless in forging their own path."
