Tara Fela-Durotoye who has empowered a lot of women in Africa spoke about women empowerment; building businesses for young African women, improving their self confidence/worth- having recently launched a House of Tara store in Kenya late in 2014 the iconic beauty entrepreneur explored the need for women to explore their passions, blaze the trail for other young African women, believe in themselves and build their communities.
The iconic beauty brand was also chronicled for setting up the first make up studio and establishing Nigeria's first make up school in 2004.
House of Tara was set up in 1998, a pioneer in the beauty and makeup industry in Nigeria and Africa as a whole and a trailblazer in the areas of retail, distribution channel management and education. Known also as an industry enabler, the brand; being the first to set up a beauty school in Nigeria has over 3,000 reps spread across the country and 20 stores to its name.
