The World Bank has released Ush8b ($3.2) to fund the gender innovation laboratory that is supposed to provide solutions for Africa's families especially the women.
This was revealed by the Group Vice President Makhtar Diop last week in a Tele-conference that preceded the marking of the World Women's Day. .
"Labor productivity creates economic opportunities. It empowers men and women by generating smart knowledge to them. It's what the gender innovation lab is all about," stressed Diop. The gender innovation lab is supposed to ensure that opportunities are made equal for both genders.
