The Rapporteur of the Council in Luxor, Soad Israel, said that 25 projects will be implemented for female breadwinners in the fields of selling food products, raising livestock and other fields in line with the needs of the local environment.
She said that these projects will be implemented in the village of Shagab in Asna of Luxor, considering that it is the poorest village in the area.
According to the Council's Rapporteur in Qena, Enayat Ahmed, the female breadwinners are the most vulnerable segment of society that needs support and care.
The National Council for Women has signed four protocols of cooperation in the governorates of Qena, Minya, New Valley and Luxor to provide income for women through helping them establish small projects.
The council works on starting up different activities to develop the villages that are most in need, targeting the needs of women specifically.
