The obstacles to the empowerment and equality of women and young girls in the tourism sector in Africa are being analyzed since Monday atthe 53rd meeting of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) Commission for Africa, underway since Monday in Cross River, Calabar State, Nigeria.
Angola is attending the event with a delegation of senior officials of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and officials from private companies in Travel and Tourism.
The Angolan delegation integrates the national director of Tourism Planning, MoisesDamiao, Deputy Director of the Office of the Minister, Sandra Vigario, and the Head of Department for Bilateral Cooperation, Lutete Nzinga.
The meeting, gathering the majority of the countries of the continent,, closes next Thursday with the election of a representative of Africa in Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization Commission for Africa for 2012-2015 period.
