The province of Uíge will host from 13 to 15 October the VII National Forum on Rural Women with activities presided over by the minister of Women Promotion, Genoveva da Conceição Lino aiming to find solution to improve the situation of rural woman.
The programme that reached Angop on Friday reads that under the event there will be organized the National Fair of Rural Women and the National Seminar on rural women entrepreneurship.
During the event, participants will also visit the house of women victims of domestic violence in Kituma, the experimental field of Faculty of Agronomy of the Vita Kimpa University, as well as the associations of Pottery and Basketry of the municipalities of Cangola, Kimbele
Mucaba, Sanza Pombo, Uige and Songo.
The central act of the Rural Women's Day, taking place on 15th October, will be held in the village of Camancoco, 22 kilometers off Uige city.
The Rural Women's Day was established on 15 October 1995 by the United Nations, on its IV Conference on Women held in Beijing that aimed to raising global awareness about the role of rural women in the strengthening of society, economy and families in particular.
