“This fellowship opportunity is a demonstration of the Ms. Foundation’s commitment to advancing equality, not just through financial investment in trailblazing organizations, but also through the cultivation of tomorrow’s leaders.”
Proposed approaches may include, but are not limited to: research and analysis, policy reports and white papers, technological innovation, state legislative strategy and anti-discrimination initiatives. Examples of current Ms. Foundation policy initiatives include extension of states’ civil statutes of limitations for child sexual abuse lawsuits, research and analysis relating to barriers to public benefits that women encounter, a report on immigrant women’s access to reproductive health care or a legislative scorecard on women’s issues.
The fellow will be a full-time, paid employee of the Ms. Foundation for Women, receiving a generous benefits package. Although the Ms. Foundation prefers local applicants, we welcome proposals based in other states. The fellowship runs from September 2013 to August 2014.
Interested leaders can download the application at http://forwomen.org/content/120/en/fellowship. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 15.
