Fountain of Hope Youth Organization (FOYO) will on October 31 host a conference at the Gaborone Technical College dubbed The Modern Woman Sexual Security.
In an interview, the communication coordinator of FOYO Mr Thato Sebati said the aim of the conference is to educate and empower women on sexual issues.
He said the research done by the organization revealed that women are marginalised when it comes to sexual issues.
He also said women have been forced by the African culture not to negotiate condom use, love making or any message that seeks to equip them with the basic life skills.
The conference which is scheduled for a day will discuss issues such as sexual security, female condom, balancing career life and womanhood and fashion and sexuality.
The conference will be in partnership with the Ministry of Health and it will involve experts from different disciplines such as sexologists, somatology's, psychologies and medical practitioners.
FOYO is a non-government organization and non profit making which was founded in October 2007 and started fully operating in 2014.
