NIGER Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has said it would work assiduously with the Federal Government to encourage participation of women in politics which would lead to success of President Goodluck Jonathan's transformation agenda.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the Commission, Dr Christian Oboh, who spoke at one- day workshop on the role of women in the president's transformation agenda, suggested that women should play critical roles for the successful implementation of the agenda.
The workshop entitled, "The Role of Women in the National Transformation Agenda" was organised by the commission for women in the nine NNDC states at Umuahia, the Abia state capital.
Represented by the Abia state commissioner in the NDDC, Mr. Aloysius Nwagboso, Oboh urged women to remain agents of peace and security in order to guarantee sustainable development in the country.
