The Angolan Minister of Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva Lino, said on Sunday that the women meeting happening in Brasilia will empower them to improve some challenges that they face in their countries.
"This is a congress where women from the whole world will discuss issues related to advances of women and seek solutions of several challenges faced by the planet", said the minister.
She pointed out the world economic crisis is one of the challenges that worsens the impoverishment of families, hitting mainly the women and this why they should seek solutions to overcome these problems.
In addition, the official said that meeting aims to seek important solutions because the problems of the countries are common and the experiences of each one may help others to overcome their challenges.
However, the minister said that Angola is implementing development programmes to support rural women, generating incomes, granting families micro credits to generate family competence policies, involving training and education of women, among others.
